WHO can get a crown?

Cancer treatment patients who have lost their hair due to Chemotherapy. 

WHY get a crown done?

Henna crowns add beauty. Along with the therapeutic relaxing aromatherapy application process.  They are a great conversation piece - a wonderful and welcomed change from scarfs, wigs and hats.

HOW to prepare for the henna crown?

1. My Henna/Jagua paste will contain: Henna/Jagua powder, sugar, water and essential oils. Please make sure to consult your doctor before deciding upon getting a Henna crown. 

2. Please let me know if you have any sensitivity issues with essential oils. I have the ability to customize the ingredients.

3. Make sure your head is clean and completely shaved as close to the skin as possible.

4. I apply henna crowns completely freehand. This gives me the ability to customize  to your interest. 

HOW long does it take to apply a crown?

It takes approximately 1.5  to 2 hours to apply your first crown. Re-crowns will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours to complete. 

​HOW do I care for the crown?

1. Once the henna crown is applied, I'll spray a layer of sugar water. This helps the design stick better to the scalp.

2. Keep the henna paste on as long as possible. I recommend 8 hours. 

3. Then scrape off the paste or rub coconut oil (or Olive oil) to loosen tough spots.

4. The paste leaves behind a stain on the skin. The stain darkens by process of oxidation over the next 48 hours.

5. Do not wash or scrub your scalp for another 24 to 48 hours. This is an important step to achieve a dark and long lasting henna stain.

6. Apply coconut oil frequently to prolong the life of the stain, especially prior to getting wet.
